Does this come in a shorter length than 48”?

We can cut the individual rails to your dimensions. You will need to call in to order this directly as we don’t offer that service through website orders. Also, we cut the rails when they are “raw” and then powder coat afterwards, so there will not be an exposed edge. Please contact us for more information and pricing.

Can these rails be cut around outlets, light switches, etc.?

The rails are made from aluminum and are able to be “crosscut” fairly easily with a chop saw and good quality metal cutting blade. However, more intricate cuts like outlet and light switch openings are more difficult and will require user skill and good quality equipment.

Can these rails be attached to a concrete wall?

Yes. Many of our customers go this route. Below are two common ways to do this, otherwise feel free to give us a call for questions with installation 1-866-443-6623:

Our recommended and easiest option is to stud frame your concrete walls, then you can secure your gun wall with the screws provided. Here's a video showing that process. We recommend going 16" on center with screws in both channels of each slatwall rail. Standard 2" mounting screws are provided and are what we suggest using, but if you mount the studs flat like in the video linked above, we have 1.5" screws that can be substituted upon your request.

You can mount directly to the cinder block or concrete wall, but you will need to purchase concrete screws. We've found that using a pan head 3/16" x 1-1/4" concrete screw works best. Here is an option that works well.

Are there holes pre-drilled into the rails for the screws?

We do not pre-drill holes into the rails. You will need to drill holes into the rails wherever it matches up properly with your wall studs.

Can I use other manufacturer's slatwall fixtures on your slatwall?

Yes, a major benefit our customers have seen with our walls is that you can buy outside fixtures that will work with our slatwall rails. Ex: storage bins, tool organizers, etc. from big box stores will work on our walls. Look for fixtures that are compatible with 3" slatwall.
